National Service Scheme (NSS)

National Service Scheme has been introduced in the college sines 1982. The college has three N.S.S. Units (Boys and Girls) and each unit consists of fifty volunteers. Students are advised to enroll themselves as N.S.S. Volunteers, avail constructive and development activities of the country. The scheme provides opportunity to come in contact with common men end to inculcate in them the sense of social consciousness and dignity of labour. Disciplined students are selected as volunteers of the unit and are awarded certificate and prize for their satisfactory performance in the camp activities. Sincere volunteers are given opportunity to attend camps organised at the college and university levels.

The N.S.S. Units organize normal and special camps on Sundays and holidays and adopt programmes such as nonformal education, better environment, tree plantation, economic development, family welfare and child care, prevention of drugs and alcohol, home for homeless, small savings campaign against social evils like dowry and untouchables etc.
