A wing of the Youth Red Cross is functioning at the college inculcate the spirit of social service and friendship into the minds of the students. It forms a part of the Indian Red Cross Society, Orissa state Branch. Red Cross Bhavan, Bhubaneswar-7. The broad objectives of the Youth Red Cross are as follows:
(a) Service to the poor downtrodden for their social upliftment.
(b) Service to sick, disabled and diseases persons.
(c) Help to the needy people during natural calamities.
(d) Promotion of friendship and social understanding.
(e) Promotion of health.
(f) Organisation of Blood Collection Camp to help needy people.
(g) Orgnisation of health awareness camp in villages.

Membership:
All students are members of the Youth Red Cross. Those students who are sincerely interested in taking part in the Red Cross activities and have a strong belief in total voluntary and philarthropic service may get their names enrolled as regular volunteers. It is done at the beginning of the academic session. The intending students have to apply to the teacher(s) in charge of the YRC, mentioning his/her Name, Class, Roll No, Permanent Address and present address. The criteria for the selection are entirely left to the Principal and the teacher(s) in charge. The Executive Committee will decide on the day to day activities of the organisation.

Rules:
(a) All students are eligible to apply for enrolment but their selection is left to the Principal and teacher(s) in charge.
(b) If the volunteers do not show much sincerely in the redcross activities, their names will be struck of the rolls.
(c) Discipline is the prime guiding factor of the YRC.
(d) Services of the volunteers are totally selfless for its no hope for anything in return. No provision exists to provide refreshments or certificate in exchange for the noble work rendered. Divine pleasure in helping others is the sole gain of the volunteers.
(e) On all matters relating to the YRC, the decision of the Principal is final.
